Making a base for the future

I am getting on in age. It is pointless living as if there were endless years ahead. I do believe I'll see my 105th birthday fit & alert but the ability to do strenous work has been diminishing and will inevitably do so in the future.

So I was confronted with the belief I have: It is not important to be remembered. It is important that my work be remembered and be used to further the cause of de-addiction and recovery.

Future generations of those who pass through the portals of our fellowships - men and women - are sure to come by and find better, simpler ways of communicating the hope of recovery to those who suffer from all forms of addiction. Maybe there'll be new addictions to conquer! Like social media addiction! LOL

I became clear that my direction is to get it online as effectively as possible. Not only would it be available to a wider audience, but would 'taken up' and propagated and improved over time by lots of people!

Thus I have invested considerable time and effort in learning website technology over the last decade or more! I am learning to build fairly complex websites, knowing no code whatsoever!

After 100's of failures, I think I have found the answer, keeping in mind my own limitations on writing code. And subcontracting this work was both out of question and financially unviable for me.

This website, I dream, will be a hangout for members of the 12-step fellowships and the new one I pray would be the center of learning, sponsoring and promoting the use of the 12 Steps.

Its being built slowly, a few hours a day, one day at a time. It will host all of WSLB's existing workshops, uploaded one at a time. They will for ever be free. Tradition 7 contributions (totally optional) will see to that.

I seek your prayers, support and help in this endeavour.

Being a student of WSLB I am proud and thankful to my Higher Power. As I understand in his plan of action he has chosen my WSLS to transform lives of his chosen with the deeper version of program and I wish coming days it is going to be revised program for present version.

The 12 Step Workshop

The 12-Step Workshop - or SWS for short is the entry-level programme for people to work the 12-steps of AA. Coached by AAs, for AAs and of AAs, the SWS is a 3-day programme.

The PWS

The Promises Workshop, or PWS for short, is for people who've maintained long-term sobriety and have completed doing at least two SWSs. They need to have also actually worked all the 12 Steps in their entirety.

Train the Trainer

WSLB believes in the AA tradition of "give it away to keep it". Hence a Train the Trainer (T3WS) Course.
